In Memory of Robert Green IV
The Wytheville Training School Cultural Center mourns the loss of one of our most highly recognized and deeply valued Board members, Robert Green IV. His quest for history was unmatched driven by a passion to uncover, preserve, and uplift the stories that shaped our community. Bobby stood firmly behind the organization’s vision, offering unwavering support and working tirelessly to promote, attend, and strengthen every program and event.
Bobby was the kind of person whose presence made you feel grounded—steady, seen, and supported. He loved deeply, worked faithfully, and gave generously without ever seeking recognition. His laughter, his honesty, and his gentle way of showing up for others became a gift to everyone who knew him. His big bear hugs warmed the soul.
Today, we honor not only the years he lived, but the love, dedication, and legacy he poured into the Wytheville Training School Cultural Center. His story continues in every memory we hold close, and in the work, we carry forward because of him.
